I found their playfulness so contagious during our shoot, but also discovered their passion for each other to be so genuine. Their wedding this September is sure to be full of laughter and love.
Rori & Matt, you guys are such a joy to be around... we can't even begin to tell you how excited we are for your wedding! Thank you so very much for choosing us :)

One of my favorite shots of the day...

I know this one has some major sun flare, but I just love it...
A candid sense of humor complimented by a sweet closeness and passion make these two too adorable to resist. We had a day full of adventures in the park with them & learned that Liz is one of the bravest brides in town, willing to do anything for a great photo :)
And to the bride and groom - we are soooo excited for your wedding this summer! Thank you for your patience while we made these images extra-fabulous for you :) I can't wait to get started on your engagement book!!
These are awesome Joey. Can't wait for ours!
(04.22.09 @ 09:49 PM)I'm almost ashamed to put my web site link on some of these blogs I go into. Everyone I come across are so talented, very beautiful photographers. I LOVE UR work. I can only dream of shooting like you and many others. I cam across you blog from Kenny Kim. Yay! I did.
Your amazing.
Perhaps the bride's choice of a vintage-style gown matched their relationship just perfectly. Timeless, classic, and always in style, she and Michael have been together almost their whole lives (yes, the Priest did make reference to their grade school days together).
Because this day was such a special celebration, they opted for a little more photography time and we were able to dedicate a portion of the day just for them. Enjoy some of the gorgeous details of their wedding below, including their exclusive photo shoot at the W Hotel.
And to the handsome couple... thank you so very, very much for allowing Jake & Shelley & I to document your wedding! I hope we've done you proud, and that these images are a warm welcome home from St. Lucia.

Gorgeous feathered flowers from Ballard Blossom...
A beautiful ceremony @ Holy Names Academy...
Reception @ the Canal...
Seriously delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Royale...
I celebrated with a mini jump for joy. Not just because I was going to win the family pool for guessing the correct day (even though I had been warned that no prizes were going to be given to anyone who dared guess past her scheduled due date), but because I knew that very soon, we would be able to meet our very first niece! (Addison is preceded by her 2 year old brother, Harrison, and we have 3 nephews on my side of the family as well.)
Even though Tish's pregnancy had been slightly less glamorous than she had hoped (that last month was a bit uncomfortable for her), her labor was a story I will happily tell any pregnant woman I meet. All went very well, and sometime around 3:30am, little Addison Marie was born.
Before heading to the wedding, we stopped off at the hospital to see our favorite new baby girl. Camera in tow, of course. Here she is, held so dearly by Grandma Elsa. Well done Tish & Jesse!! Congrats!!
JOEY! The new blog is amazing! Love it!
(05.01.09 @ 12:50 AM)It has been for some time now... two years to be precise. For awhile, it was fun to keep private... my secret getaway from an often chaotic world of weddings and portraits. It is so different from my normal routine, and because it is such a fantastic pleasure, it just feels so unfair that I am keeping it all to myself.
So, today, I share with you my dirty little secret.
She does not wear a silk wedding gown, nor the giggles & cheer of small children, though someday, she may have the pleasure of giving them all a place to call h-o-m-e.
While I do work for many Realtors, all of the images listed here are new construction homes built by the McNaughton Group, and sold by TeamBuilder John L Scott. I have photographed homes in several of their neighborhoods, and am continuously amazed at the design.
Details such as granite countertops, stone fireplaces, tiled details in the kitchens and baths, and beautiful crown moulding will make you seriously doubt the great prices of these brand new homes.
Each home has an amazing use of square footage, making them feel larger than life. The kitchens are always open to the living rooms, making them feel spacious, yet sociable. A place where families and friends could easily entertain and live comfortably. And upstairs, where the bedrooms typically are, the hallways have a certain flow, making everyone feel like they have their own wing of the house. Some rooms even have French doors.
And the master baths? Well... you'll just have to go see for yourselves ;)

Thanks for sharing!! This actually makes me very happy. Tim and I are always looking for great neighborhoods on that side of the water as we are hoping to move next year. Of course hoping that the housing market will pick up a bit. The Village Communities are in the area we can agree on, so thank you thank you for finally sharing!!!
(03.10.09 @ 12:06 PM)Beautiful photos, Joey! I love looking through photos of new homes. Thanks for sharing!
