Courtney got ready at a gorgeous suite in Seattle's Hotel Monaco. Pet-friendly, it allowed the bride the company of their rescue Maltese, Suzie, while she prepared for her big day (you might remember her guest appearance in their engagement shoot earlier this year).

While I couldn't get enough of the bold, hot pink-striped wallpaper, nothing shone so brightly as the bride herself. And while she was stunning all on her own, her smile beamed ever more brightly when in the company of the love of her life, Andrew.

Courtney and Andrew's wedding was styled with so many personal touches, I couldn't help but put them all here in the blog. Normally I love to let each image shine on it's own, but a few collages seemed to fit the bill here just perfectly to show off the monogrammed napkins, candy bar, and - oh yes - both cake AND cupcakes!

And to the lovely Bride & Groom... thank you so much for allowing Jake and I to capture your wedding day!! We have hundreds of more photos to share, but hopefully this will tide you over until the rest are ready :) Enjoy!

The story of how Rori and Matt met is nothing less than hysterical, and totally gives proof that this pair was truly meant to be. They tell the story best, but let's just say it has to do with an ad on craigslist, funny friends, and a fantastic sense of humor.

I found their playfulness so contagious during our shoot, but also discovered their passion for each other to be so genuine. Their wedding this September is sure to be full of laughter and love.

Rori & Matt, you guys are such a joy to be around... we can't even begin to tell you how excited we are for your wedding! Thank you so very much for choosing us :)

Liz and Jeff will be getting married on the 4th of July this year... and while a disappointed bride will be lacking fireworks at her wedding due to country club rules, the happy couple certainly shared more than a few sparks during their e-shoot just a couple of weeks ago. And we have just the footage to prove it.

A candid sense of humor complimented by a sweet closeness and passion make these two too adorable to resist. We had a day full of adventures in the park with them & learned that Liz is one of the bravest brides in town, willing to do anything for a great photo :)

And to the bride and groom - we are soooo excited for your wedding this summer! Thank you for your patience while we made these images extra-fabulous for you :) I can't wait to get started on your engagement book!!

Sara & Michael just married this spring, but their love is anything but new.

Perhaps the bride's choice of a vintage-style gown matched their relationship just perfectly. Timeless, classic, and always in style, she and Michael have been together almost their whole lives (yes, the Priest did make reference to their grade school days together).

Because this day was such a special celebration, they opted for a little more photography time and we were able to dedicate a portion of the day just for them. Enjoy some of the gorgeous details of their wedding below, including their exclusive photo shoot at the W Hotel.

And to the handsome couple... thank you so very, very much for allowing Jake & Shelley & I to document your wedding! I hope we've done you proud, and that these images are a warm welcome home from St. Lucia.

March 30, 2009 // Personal
On Friday evening, around 11:30pm, I received a text from my sister-in-law that her water had broke. Jake and Shelley and I were still awake, going over our game plan and packing all of our equipment for the wedding we were shooting that very next day.

I celebrated with a mini jump for joy. Not just because I was going to win the family pool for guessing the correct day (even though I had been warned that no prizes were going to be given to anyone who dared guess past her scheduled due date), but because I knew that very soon, we would be able to meet our very first niece! (Addison is preceded by her 2 year old brother, Harrison, and we have 3 nephews on my side of the family as well.)

Even though Tish's pregnancy had been slightly less glamorous than she had hoped (that last month was a bit uncomfortable for her), her labor was a story I will happily tell any pregnant woman I meet. All went very well, and sometime around 3:30am, little Addison Marie was born.

Before heading to the wedding, we stopped off at the hospital to see our favorite new baby girl. Camera in tow, of course. Here she is, held so dearly by Grandma Elsa. Well done Tish & Jesse!! Congrats!!
