I love what I get to do for a living. I know, lucky me :) Never, in a million years, did I ever imagine that I could have a profession as inventive, as diverse, as rewarding, and simply wonderful as being a professional photographer.
So, thank YOU, dear blog reader, client, family, and friends, for making this all of this possible. It is you who have made my dreams come true. :)
Your photography experience is about more than just the photos, the end result. It is also about having a personal connection with your photographer, being comfortable with the person who will see you so intimately through the lens. And while I would much prefer to build our rapport in person, I will jump start our relationship by indulging you with a few fun facts for you here... for all the world to see... (oh my!)
- I used to want to be Wonder Woman. Maybe I still do. I have two scars and a pin in my arm to prove it.
- I come from a great family. Family is important, and fun, and crazy, and wonderful, and I love mine terribly.
- I still admire my big sister the way I did when we were kids.
- I love dogs. Small dogs, big dogs, all dogs. I find them irresistible, and you may find me approaching strangers on the street or at the local Starbucks just to pet their beloved friend. They make me so happy.
- I am a Seattle native, UW grad, and former sorority girl.
- I love to read. I prefer chic-lit books that make me laugh, or any Dan Brown or James Patterson novel (except for the Alex Cross series - way too freaky for me).
- I have traveled to some very cool parts of this World. From the sandy beaches of Mexico, to the snowy Swiss Alps, to the top of the Eiffel Tower, to the tomb of King Tut, and beyond.
- I am an independent soul, a private person, but it is so easy to share my photography with you and with the world.
- I love going to the movies. It's a good escape from the real world. And yes, sometimes I need to escape.
- I love the comfort & familiarity of hanging out with old friends.
- I wish I could photograph my dreams. They are vivid, and frequent, and very, very interesting.
- I love my husband, Jake, dearly. I tell him often that "Everyone needs a Jake." I truly believe that if everyone had a husband like him, the world would be a better place.
Thanks for taking a bit of time to get to know me. I cannot wait to get to know you!
Much love,
Joey Nicole Bowles
