Like a summer's breeze, these two swept into our lives and we just haven't been the same since. Perhaps if you, too, had the chance to wander Seattle in the presence of their love, you might be affected the same. Their passion for each other, complimented by sweet laughter and a fabulous sense of style made this shoot so much fun for Jake and I.

I might sound like a broken record by now, but oh wow, how we just adore our couples...

Susie & Casey, thank you so very much for entrusting us to do our thing the way we do it best. I love these images dearly, and it just makes us all the more excited for your wedding this summer. You are going to be one stunning pair as Bride and Groom :)

Until then... a few of my favorites for the world to enjoy...

Whomever says email is cold has obviously never received an email from Jayme. From the moment I read her first email, I knew I liked her. Words over Internet were bubbly... excited... eager... everything a new bride should be. She had me hooked. And when Jake and I met her and her fiance Jordan together, we knew it was a perfect match all around.

For their engagement shoot, we shot mainly around Pike Place Market. I never, ever get tired of shooting here. We got really lucky this January day with beautiful weather, which also brought about a pretty big crowd for Pike Place. We had fun with it, and toured around our own city like tourists. I felt like a Paparazzi trying to track them in the sea of driving cars and bustling shoppers.

Check out a few of my favorites below :)

We shot a super-fun engagement shoot this past Saturday, and we were so fortunate with the gorgeous Seattle weather we had too! Here's one sneak-peek shot for now to whet your appetite (I know, I'm soooo funny) :)

After a romantic dinner at a well-known downtown steakhouse, she still had no ring. Not that she was expecting it that night, but maybe - just maybe, she had been hoping... there had been some talk about a ring, after all.

After dinner, he had to make a quick stop at the local library to return some overdue books. This was normal (not the overdue part, I don't think), but the library was a common spot for them. They had been studying at the same library when they were introduced by friends. And they continued to study there together, as friends, for some time more.

And their friendship grew into a perfect love. So it was only perfect that rather than retrieving due books from the car, Thomas appeared with a gorgeous ring and asked Stephanie to be his bride.

And she said yes.
And they popped champagne.
And they will live happily ever after :)

So for their engagement shoot, we thought it would only be fitting to include a library as a part of the shoot. We went out to UW on a brisk day and had a ton of fun. The happy couple knew it wouldn't be complete without their dog Stella, so she came along as well. Needless to say, this little family has stolen my heart.

We started off with some casual shots on a bench in Red Square...

I love how they make each other laugh.

Little Stella only sat still for a little bit... she was too excited chasing other dogs around Red Square. She is so fast, and so hilarious. I had a laugh attack watching her go. Guaranteed to bring a smile to even the grinchiest of Grinches this holiday season.

Stella. Vintage-style. Go, Stella, go!

This picture makes me happy. I want to hop in it and hug them because they are just so cute together!

I loved the spookiness of the trees in the Quad.

The Reading Room at Suzzallo Library. I spent many a day sleeping, I mean, studying here (of course) back in the day. I love the soft, glowing lighting from the huge windows.

This ain't your Mama's library...
