These days, life seems to be moving faster than I can blink. Wake up, go to the gym, walk the dogs, catch up on email, update the to-do list, edit, eat, did I remember to shower yet??... edit some more, feed the dogs, client meeting, album design, check email again, heavy head hits the pillow and it seems to start all over again so soon that I barely have time to breathe.
But I'm not complaining.
What I love about my job most are the moments when I am out there... at a wedding, photographing a family, whatever it is that day, because it makes me stop, makes me feel, makes me enjoy life outside of my little box of a world.
Will Smith says it best in Hitch... "Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away." And I am so lucky to have a job that allows me to be part of so many priceless moments.
Meeting Savi is a great example of one of these lucky days. At just 6 days old, Anne and Cam (the proud parents), invited me into their home to take her first photos. Anticipating a completely sleepy baby, I encountered just the opposite. And while she wasn't too happy being without her satin-trimmed fuzzy blanket for too long (can we really blame her?), she did a fantastic job entertaining us with her gorgeous eyes and brand new facial expressions.
Without further ado, please take a moment to meet Savannah "Savi" Elizabeth.

The search for the perfect pumpkin can be stressful. Especially when you're not quite two years old, and the vines grow taller than your belly-button.
With a mixture of curiosity, excitement, and frustration, Harrison explored all the Jubilee Farm had to offer.
This Sprint, young Harrison will move over in the family tree. No longer the only child, he will share his neighboring space beneath mom and dad with his new and beloved baby sister. Parents Tish & Jesse decided Harrison needed one more photo shoot starring yours truly before Baby Girl Brown arrives, so off to the pumpkin patch we were.
Check out a few of the Vintage edits from his exploration here :)
